About Urdu Press Club of India

Urdu Press Club of India has been established by Urdu Education Board, Delhi (an all India Society registered under Societies registration Act XXI of 1860 of Govt. of India) which is a Minority Educational Institution recognized by National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, a Statutory Body of Govt. of India under Parliament Act 2004 and also recognized by Govt. of NCT of Delhi by issuing Executive order. Urdu Press Club of India has been registered with Ministry of HRD (CR) & Planning Commission, Govt. of India. The prime objectives of Urdu Press Club of India is to promote electronic and Print Urdu Journalism and to integrate both forms of Urdu Journalism at one platform and will also provide free and fair Journalism. Urdu Press Club of India is also decided to start various regular and part-time Journalism courses for those persons who want to make their career in Urdu Journalism and also to encourage existing media people for enhancement their abilities in Urdu Journalism through advance exposure and practical training with latest technologies. Urdu Press Club on India is also planned to organize, debate, symposium, workshop, and Conferences etc. all over India for promotion of Urdu language, Urdu Journalism, upliftment of Muslim Minority Community and social issues. Urdu Press Club of India will also organize Mushaira all over India.

• To integrate Print and electronic Urdu media at one platform
• To conduct seminars, conferences ,poetry events and workshops boosting Urdu Journalism
• To safeguard freedom of Urdu Press
• To adopt an inclusion approach in Urdu Journalism
• To provide surveillance for healthy and fair practices in Journalism profession
• To establish Journalist training centers
• To honor meritorious Urdu media bodies with awards and recognition
• To facilitate and encourage people to indulge in Urdu literature and poetry writings.
• To start regular part time short term courses in electronic and print Urdu media.
• To provide resource assistance to media professionals and media houses promoting Urdu journalism
• To work for the upliftment of Urdu speaking community through Urdu Journalism
• To publish Urdu Newspapers and magazines for increasing Urdu readership
• To produce documentary films and Urdu programs for Urdu channels
• Any other work related to promotion of Urdu language/ Urdu journalism.
